YEAH, we officially have a social worker assigned to us.... so glad too! It's been 6 weeks since we started the process and I'm bummed to live in a state that requires all documents for the homestudy be completed in advance rather than throughout the process. It adds about 4 weeks onto an already unbearably long process.
We also talked to our agency coordinator and she's asked us to start sending in our Dossier documents.
We'll be asking the social worker if we can pay an expediting fee to move the home study along, this could greatly reduce the time to complete this phase which could reduce the portion required to get immigration approval to bring an 'orphane' into the US. Say a silent prayer!
