Neighbors

Howdy Ho Neighbors,

I guess that's sort of how it went on Sunday when E had the pleasure of meeting our 'cross the road' neighbors for the first time. Though we'd met the husband one day a month or two ago, we hadn't met them together nor had they toured the house.

So upon handing over a (yummy and gone) bag of chocolate chip cookies, the admission price for a tour, E walked them through the house and chatted a bit. I was at a Wedding Shower (more like a baby shower though based on the number of babies there, good thing time has passed) with a J and catching up with her.

So the ok news, they didn't say anything negative about our choice of decorating, though admittedly E wasn't sure they really approved... but hey, it's not there house so why does it bug me? The good news, they brought cookies. The best news, they said there are a 'ton' of people in our area who have adopted from China.

Ok, "ton"? Maybe as a comparison of the number who've adopted from elsewhere perhaps. But either way, the hopes of meeting some people with this in common was sounding great. She mentioned a couple on the street adopted from Russia recently too. Seems the community has an international flair, in 'the sticks' and everything.

We know now 2 families who've adopted from China, one in the next town over and then A and D elsewhere in CT! cool.
