From time to time family and friends ask us 'hey, what's the latest on the adoption front'... well it's a slow slow process and entirely dependant on how things transition with the CCAA.here's the latest update (check out the picture to the right):
This means they have "officially" reviewed December Dossiers and moved into 2006 Dossiers. Also, since referrals tend to come lately at the end of the month, we also expected the referral date comment at the bottom of the picture to change soon too.
The comment about "officially" reviewed is in reference to the fact that Dossiers have been rejected long after being reviewed and accepted, it's rare, but it does happen.
Lastly, it's been confirmed that not only is the CCAA working on January Dossiers but also February and March currently too. THey only update their website when ALL Dossiers for a given month have been reviewed and questions asked have been answered by Adoptive Parents. This is why several months could be in review at the same time.
Hopefully updates on referrals can be provided by the end of this week. Those families next up for referrals have been waiting 14 months.

I just noticed that update today too....its exciting. Slowly but surely we are getting there.
