Rainy Days and Sundays...

At the start of the weekend, on Friday, we're hanging, watching TV and I looked over... and there's Zane. In a classic, only Zane can pull off, pose. She does this a lot, maybe weekly even. She'll sit on, lean on, lay on, etc Ginger anytime the mood strikes. Ginger, for the most part, just tolerates this. She is the kind of dog that a kid could fall on, pull the ears and tail... and Ginger just continues to 'smile' away, as Dalmatians are known for. She is ever patient, ever gracious, at least with people and Zane (I know, Zane thinks she's 'people').

As if the fluffy incredibly soft and big dog bed weren't cushion enough for this princess, noooo, she needs to be pampered further, with a pillow of 'ginger' for her precious body!

Classic Zane, we wouldn't expect any less.

So, in an effort to avoid the mess that has become the 'unpacking zone' inside the house, we took another tour of the 'yard'. This time we brought some very happy "pups" with us.

We took the dogs with us as we ventured out on a VERY cold and windy day (I know, winter is setting in). We planned to take the 'trail/right of way' further back but needed to set up the critter camera a friend at work lent me. He hooked us up, not only with a digital critter camera to strap to a tree, but also some feed to give enough time to get a few good shots in.

We let the dogs run loose once further into the woods and with their intense respect for us and our command (treats in the pockets given liberally) they managed to stay fairly close. I'm thinking though it might be wise to get them some hunter orange for safety though.

We set up the critter cam, walked for a bit and then returned back up the hill. the pictures are just below the house along a nice little trail. I tried to capture the 'green' on the stone wall that I described in an earlier post but I think you have to use some imagination, just couldn't capture it on film.
