No news lately on referrals, rumors, etc. As of last month the wait was at 14.7 months... your guess is as good as mine when we'll see Magpie's face for the first time. Earliest... if the wait stays under 15 months, will be July/August... but there's good news with the wait just past August, I'm not eligible for FMLA till then since you have to be at a company for >12 months. Worst case estimates out there... could be 2008... I shudder to think that. 7 years from when we started this journey to being a family... One of the guys on my team asked me today when we thought we'd travel, oh the naive newbie to my world,... "hopefully before the Olympics", he thought I was seriously kidding. He'll be 2 hours of south of Beijing next year for 6 months on assignment, our company is heavily integrated into Asia, it's been amazing. Later on next year, 2 more of my team members will be on assignment there too.
Only thing is of course some unofficial but yet instituted 'guidelines' (see, if they aren't rules they are subject to much interpretation and enforcement) about weight, age, net worth... so far not things we need to worry about based on what we're seeing, but always a concern.
