Labor Day

Today is Labor Day, ok, so yeah, not news to everyone reading the blog!

In catching up with blogging (creating draft posts in batches!) I decided to do a bit of research about Labor Day as a way of making up for missing Friday Facts this past Friday. We spent this Labor Day with E's brother, his wife and their daughter, a wonderful stress free weekend... well except for a few 'incidents' with the dogs... hellions on legs. We need to socialize them more and will continue to work with them to reduce their issues. It was though a weekend of staying up too late, drinking too much [some of us more than others ;) ] watching a strange movie (hard to follow when you miss critical scenes -Heros I think?), doing shopping (we had to buy it for her birthday... sorry Julie!!!!), eating... way too much and just having a ball with the 3 of them.

It was strange to only have a 1 hour drive vs the old 7-11 hour drive on holiday weekends! So I have lots of time to blog... lol. We are currently unwinding and avoiding the topic of a new work week, all while we adapt to being back in the hotel :(

Today's post is a mini Friday Facts, use the link to the left aka Friday Facts.

Yeah ok, it's a holiday, so what, right? Do you know how and where else, besides the US, it's celebrated? Or how about when it started, in which State it started and who's credited for it? Do you know when it became a Federal Law? How about some of the more famous (or original depending on your perspective) festivals in the US? Yeah, I thought not, check out the link!
