So to our friends Mario and Payal, a big hearty thank you for an incredible quilt square.
Mario is E's childhood friend, was his best man at our Family wedding and is the person E most attaches fond childhood memories with. Payal and Mario met a few years ago, fell in love, got married and now have a beautiful boy. They live near by and we hope to see them 'slightly' more often than when we lived in Maryland, we'd be sad not too. It was one of the things we talked about when we moved back Northeast.
So Payal and I trade emails occasionally on the subject, she was working hard to get 'just the right square' to us. I think she did fantastic. It's a picture of E and Mario at their wedding (Payal and Mario's not E and Mario -lol) a few years ago. She had it printed on a onesie in order to get it on fabric. Love it.Thanks Mario and Payal, You did great.
There are a few quilt squares we anxiously awaiting, Libby, Mike, Crista (not to name names), and we've given up on the few family members we've asked 4-5 times over the last 5 months. So it's onto to the quilter as soon as those 3 show up.
We have a mound of postcards from the April Seasonal Postcard Exchange (this is the fall swap) and several late arrival online quilt square swaps to get posted... things have been hard to pull together in general. If I wasn't wrapped up in hating the movers and unpacking and the new job, well, I still wouldn't be caught up with posting, these last few months have been really hard to stay focused on 'tomorrow'.
One day at time right?

That's super cool!
We are also anxiously awaiting a few squares from some friends and family members. We got a cool one from a buddy in Alaska today. I LOVE the mail when quilt squares come:)
